The pressure put on us during January to move our bodies and “start with a bang” can be a little overwhelming. And in my opinion, a great way to put your nervous system into fight or flight, put extra stress on your mind & body, which then can lead to the same unhealthy patterns and routines we’re comfortable with.
Start the year grounded! It’s still winter! During these cold months, it’s essential to continue to nourish our bodies. Start new, but do so grounded and centered… and slowwww. Anything done with haste will inevitably fail.
Nourish your mind & body in this approachable all-levels class. We will start with standing postures of Daoyin Flow movements consisting of Qigong and Somatic body awareness, then move to the mat for gentle floor stretches supported by straps and bolsters, into longer restful restorative postures with props galore.
You will learn different acupressure points on the body to support healthy immune & organ functions.
And then melt into an extended 30-minute sound bath Savasana.
