TUESDAY OCT 28th SAMHAIN RITUAL: GHOST POINT ACUPUNCTURE & SOUND HEALING @ 6-8PM
Join Jocelyn Laferriere, The Belden Witch, and Licensed Acupuncturist Karen Rietz for a thoughtfully curated group experience where we will learn about the seasonal shifts of late Autumn, the history of Samhain and Halloween, and receive an acupuncture session & sound healing experience designed to help release your “inner ghosts”.
We will begin the evening with a seasonal herbal tea blend to warm our bodies and our hearts from the inside out. We’ll learn the energetics of the season of late Autumn, and the history of Samhain. A turn of the wheel of the year where the veil is thinnest. We’ll learn why now is the perfect time to connect with spirits; both passed loved ones and your inner spirit. Karen will be performing acupuncture using a special series of Ghost Acupuncture Points. Ghost acupuncture treatments are used to address mental and emotional conditions caused from unresolved traumas held in the body. The treatment is intended to influence the spiritual aspect of your being, help us to process traumas, and encourage us to let go of past negative experiences. Paired with the healing vibrations of quartz crystal singing bowls, chimes and other various instruments, this will prove to be a beautifully profound evening of connection.
We are excited to share this transformative evening with you, and to open up space for your inner “demons” to rest in peace.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Plan to be immersed in community for 2 hours. This will be a floor based practice accompanied by mats and pillows held in The Belden Witch event space. We want everyone to feel that they are in a supported space. All mats, pillows, blankets, bolsters & other props will be provided. Come as you are in comfortable clothing.
This specific acupuncture protocol will use points on the tips of your fingers and toes, as well as one on the face. You will rest with the needles for approximately 45 minutes while you melt into a soothing sound healing experience. We will close out the evening with meditation and be around to answer questions.
BEFORE YOUR EVENT:
● After booking, please reach out to Karen for further paperwork.
○ Call/text (970) 688-8038
○ E-mail: mtn.acupuncture.apothecary@gmail.com
● Fill out all forms prior to the event. Karen cannot treat anyone that has not completed their paperwork.
● Eat at least 3 hours prior to the event.
● Avoid caffeine & alcohol and stay well hydrated.
● We will be going over the entirety of the event when you arrive, but if you have questions leading up to the evening of the 28th, please feel free to reach out to Jocelyn or Karen.
WHAT TO BRING:
● A full water bottle.
● A journal & pen.
● Dress in comfortable and warm clothing, with warm socks.
AFTER YOUR EVENT:
● Drink plenty of water and eat a healthy nutritious meal. Avoid alcohol or consuming greasy, difficult to digest foods.
● Honor your body. If you are feeling tired, then give yourself the space and time to rest. If light movement sounds inviting, then please do so.
● Healing is not linear. It is possible to feel “worse” before feeling better. This is to say that you may have unexpected emotions surface, you may feel run-down or more tired than usual, or perhaps you experience another type of release. This is all ok and normal.
● Stay warm and covered. This allows the body to circulate the message it received properly and keep things flowing.
Space is limited to 10 participants to ensure an exclusive experience.
