SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11TH, 6:30 - 8 PM. BROOM CRAFTING WORKSHOP: THE HISTORY & LORE OF THE WITCHES BROOM
Join Jocelyn Laferriere, The Belden Witch, for an evening of crafting & community as we create our very own decorative witches broom!
This event has become so popular that we’ve added TWO chances to gather this year! PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE BOOKING THE CORRECT DATE.
Saturday, October 11th from 6:30 - 8 PM
We will be crafting our own broom with locally foraged and dried flora & fauna, and other decorative adornments to hang on your door to welcome in prosperity and the harvest season.
The workshop includes a cinnamon broom, adornments such as crystals, feathers, dried flowers, dried fruit, locally foraged plants, and more!
If you have any unique baubles you would like to bring to craft with bring them along! Things like beads, sea glass, shells, feathers and any other fun trinkets are a great idea.
As you craft, sip on local & organic hot mulled cider brewed with Ayurvedic spices and fall inspired treats like homemade kettle corn and pumpkin cake as we learn about the history of why witches were notoriously associated with the broom. From history to folklore, you’ll leave with a deeper understanding of why every witch needs one at her door.
Dress comfortably & come ready to get witchcrafty :)
Participants must be 15 years+.
