CEREMONIAL CACAO WITH CARDAMOM & ROSE
I have been OBSESSED with this recipe lately. It’s super simple and SO delicious, hope you love it too!
If you’ve ever been to one of my cacao ceremonies, I usually keep the recipe simple, which you can find on my other blog, How to Prepare Ceremonial Cacao.
This preparation is a different spin on a classic, where I add in some coconut milk for a yummy cacao latte!
For one cup:
2 TBSP of chopped Ceremonial Cacao (I am a pracitioner for Keith’s Cacao, you can order some here if you don’t have any!)
2 TBSP of full fat coconut milk (I like the organic brand from Thai Kitchen. It’s creamy and more like coconut cream when cold, but melts nicely into hot drinks while providing a good source of healthy fats)
1.5 - 2 TBSP of raw local honey (can substitute agave for a Vegan version)
1/4 TSP of ground rose powder (Animamundi Herbals has a wonderful one! and I’ll be selling some Organic Rose Powder in the shop!)
1/4 TSP of ground cardamom or 3 whole pods, shelled and ground in a mortar & pestle (I love the fresh ground for a spicier flavor!)
Add 6-8 oz of hot water, and blend with a hand frother
That’s it!
Take a big deep breath breathing in the warm and cozy smell, and take a sip!
